Do you need a license to Home Board dogs?

Yes you do now in most areas of the country & DEFINITELY in this area (Ask to see mine!).Licenses are gained from Swindon Borough Council and are renewed annually after an inspection. Licensing is good for both dog and Owner. The License holder has to prove they are sufficiently experienced, that they have adequate facilities and that management procedures are in place to guard against loss of dogs, infection control and the risk of fire. They also have to make a declaration that they have no history of animal abuse or ever gained a conviction in this area. Licenses are granted to cover the period from the 1st of January to the 31st of December.
